Grandes Economistas
Luigi L. Pasinetti (1930-)
Economista italiano, miembro destacado de la llamada Escuela Neo-Ricardiana o "segunda generación de keynesianos de Cambridge". Discípulo de Piero Sraffa, desarrolló en 1960 una meticulosa formalización matemática de las ideas de David Ricardo.
Nacido en Zanica, Bergamo, estudió y obtuvo el doctorado en la Università Cattolica S. Cuore de Milán en 1954 con una tesis sobre la aplicación de modelos econométricos al análisis de los ciclos. Obtuvo un segundo Ph.D. en la University of Cambridge (UK) en 1963.
Durante los años sesenta, desde su puesto de profesor en Cambridge, lideró a los keynesianos en sus polémicas con los monetaristas sobre la teoría del capital. Posteriormente realizó importantes aportaciones a la teoría del crecimiento en la línea de Kaldor. Actualmente sigue trabajando en la aplicación de las teorías ricardianas y está especialmente interesado en los modelos de cambio estructural, la respuesta de los modelos económicos multisectoriales al cambio tecnológico.
