Grandes Economistas

Gottfried von Haberler (1900-1995)

Miembro de la Escuela Austríaca, discípulo de Wieser y von Mises y profesor en Viena, se traslada a Harvard en 1936. Trabaja en la teoría del comercio internacional y en la teoría de los ciclos.

Doctor por la Universidad de Viena (1924), estudia posteriormente en las universidades de Londres y Harvard, en la que más tarde sería profesor de 1936 a 1971.

Trabajó para la Sección Financiera de la Sociedad de Naciones (1934-1936) y, desde 1943, como técnico del Sistema de Reserva Federal de Estados Unidos. Presidió la International Economic Asociation (1950-51) y el National Bureau of Economic Research (1955).
